Why we Ride.
The Major Taylor Cycling Club (MTCC) was founded in Columbus, Ohio in 1979 and has since grown to have a global presence.

The mission of MTCC is to promote the sport of cycling, health, wellbeing, and camaraderie among its members in the greater Columbus area and throughout the United States.

The first of the many cycling clubs named Major Taylor Cycling Club.
We did this with inspiration from our namesake, Marshall Walter “Major Taylor,” who in 1899, became the first African American world Champion in Cycling.
